Adolescents & Young Adults

Coaching: Coaching sessions can range from 1-6 months and provide support for those who have a specific issue, a curiosity to learn or a goal to develop themselves in the areas below.

Counselling: Counselling is available for those who would like to explore the root cause of an issue impacting their emotional well-being and how to overcome what may be causing them to feel stuck in this area and impacting their daily life. The length of the counselling session will depend on the nature of the concern.

Support is provided for the following areas:

 

Mental Health

  • Managing feelings of anxiety and depression

  • Body image and disordered eating

  • Cultivating self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth

  • Identifying and moving through traumatic experiences

  • Adapting to acute or chronic illness - how to manage school re-entry, friendships, and relationships

  • Navigating social media - addressing comparison, cyber-bullying, and comparison

 

Relational Health

  • Developing a positive and healthy relationship with self

  • Understanding the components of a healthy romantic relationship - boundaries, safety, sexual health and emotional availability

  • Navigating conflict and challenging peer relationships

  • Learning how to develop and maintain friendships

  • Supporting family members with illness or high-needs

  • Establishing and maintaining boundaries for healthy personal and professional relationships

 

Academic & Career Development

  • High school and post-secondary course planning

  • Self-exploration; understanding your interests, passions, strengths

  • Career exploration and career transitions - goal-setting, experiential learning, mentorship

  • Self management - addressing procrastination, time management, and routine building
